NC State’s dairy processing plant, the Feldmeier Dairy Processing Lab, is primarily known for its delicious Howling Cow ice cream, a State Fair favorite, but the cutting-edge food science innovations and research lab in the lower level of Schaub Food Sciences Building also produces popular locavore foods such as farmstead cheeses and milk.
