Keep the Tradition Alive

Howling Cow began as a university-based dairy farm project, originally created to showcase the hard work and innovation of North Carolina State University’s students. Over the years, it has grown into a beloved brand, known for its delicious ice cream made with fresh milk from our own dairy herd. Today, Howling Cow is entirely student-operated, giving our students hands-on experience in both dairy production and the art of crafting high-quality ice cream.
100% — yes, ALL — of the plants current operating costs are generated by revenues from the sale of dairy products, research grants, and fees from educational seminars.
As a student-driven initiative, we rely on the support of our community to continue providing these valuable educational opportunities. If you’d like to contribute to the future of Howling Cow and support our students, we would greatly appreciate any donations. Your generosity helps us keep the tradition alive and continue fostering innovation in dairy production.
